The Open Door’s programs and services are geared to both provide immediate needs and better equip individuals to face life’s challenges. In addition to our programs and services, we coordinate with other relief agencies throughout Haywood County.




Programs & Services Offered

(Hours are Mon. - Fri. except Tues. afternoon as noted by *.)


  Meals are provided seven days a week. 125 -140 meals served per day. (See the Kitchen tab for details.)


    Food Boxes are available on a monthly basis. 9am–1pm


    Clothing Assistance is provided free of charge in special instances for those who qualify. 10:15am–1pm


    Emergency Shelter – The Open Door partners with other Haywood County relief agencies to provide emergency


     shelter. We provide meals for those staying at the shelter. Contact the office to make shelter arrangements.


    Financial Assistance for utilities, rental, gas, etc. 10:15–11:30am & 1–2pm*


    Showers are available on premises for men and women. 8am– 12pm


    Laundry Facilities are available from 10am– 1pm


    Salon Services are available several days per month, by appointment.


    Mail Pick Up – Contact the office between 11:15– 11:30am & 1– 1:15pm*


    Documentation Requests 10:15 - 11:30 a.m. & 1 - 2 p.m.* (Requires 3-5 days to process.)


    Computer Training available by appointment; contact the office.


    Faithful Friends Ministry for ex-inmates and/or families; Thursdays 11:30am– 1pm


    Daily Devotions 10am and 11:30am


    Frog Level Fellowship Sunday Worship Service 10:30am


    Worship Services Saturday and Sunday at 6pm
